Colaiste Eoin, Finglas, Dublin

The presenter was lovely, and was able to work well with our students.
The students definitely learnt more about the science behind forensics than they had known prior to the workshop and had lots of questions about the topic."

Colaiste Ide, Finglas, Dublin

"The group was mixture: some of the students were coming from a science background and others from a security background (more interested in criminology).
Despite this both classes found the workshop to be relevant and interesting, by providing a more realistic scenario to enhance their theoretical knowledge."

Bridgetown Vocational College, Bridgetown, Co. Wexford

“The topics were interesting & well presented.
The response of the students was good on the day and feedback from students was very positive afterwards.”

Sacred Heart School, Tullamore, Offaly

"We were blown away by how well it was organised and presented and the extent to which our students got involved. Alison clearly loves her job and I'd have listened to her all day. I did ask the girls if they had any recommendations for any possible changes you might make and they couldn't think of one!"

"We loved it! Our senior students were engaged from start to finish and gave such positive feedback about it afterwards. I had been a bit anxious about how the junior session would go given that a large number of students of this age are very hard to entertain AND that it was taking place during the last three classes on a Friday evening. However, I need not have worried, Alison was an absolute pro and they loved her! The queues afterwards to try on the suits and get in to the body bag were testament to how excited they were and how involved they got. I booked a session in 2016 straight away! Thank you Alison for bringing the perfect ending to Science Week 2014 in the Sacred Heart School."

St Kilians German School, Clonskeagh, Dublin

"I thought that the workshop was very easy to set up. The guidelines for the room and having the worksheets in advance helped peace of mind, especially as this was our first experience. Alison was excellent with the students, especially as they are not always easily engaged."

Blackrock College, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

“Great day enjoyed by all. Very worthwhile.”

St. Wolstans Community College, Celbridge, Co. Kildare

“Our pupils really enjoyed the sessions with James & the teachers thought it very helpful in teaching their subject choices eg. made chemistry appealing.”

CBS Kilkenny

"I thought that the many different ways forensic science can be used to solve a crime were outlined superbly in the workshop. It was very, very practical which appealed to the students hugely and had a sense of mystery and adventure that the students were looking for." - Feedback form on 15 Nov 2017

Skerries Community College, Skerries, Co. Dublin

"Enjoyed by all. Very funny, interesting and informative. Will recommend for next year”

Lucan Community College, Lucan, Dublin

"Brings the crime scene to life students get to see and experience how the crime is solved and get to use the equipment. Students really enjoyed the workshop. Booked again for next year."

FCJ Secondary School, Bunclody, Wexford

"The students that participated in the workshops really enjoyed the problem solving.

One TY student said " I have not used my brain this much since Junior Cert. Exams"."

Portlaoise College, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

“The presenter held the students attention really well when group discussions were carried out. It was very impressive and the instructions were very easy to follow for students. Alison obviously has a lot of experience in dealing with teenagers her friendly demeanour made her very approachable to students. The time given to each workshop was very generous which meant the students were not rushed.”

"As always, Alison gave two great workshops to our students (aged approx 15). Their feedback was very positive, they were mixed ability groups and all really enjoyed the experience. Its a great opportunity for young people to get some inside into the forensics involved in solving a crime."

Claregalway Community College, Claregalway, Galway

"I have brought this workshop to three different schools over the last few years and I have found it really great. The engagement by the kids is generally excellent, especially if they are first years. The wrap up of the workshop with the kids acting out the crime and putting them in body bags e.t.c. also works really well and they really enjoy it."

Education Interactive provides educational science workshops based on Forensics to High Schools and Primary Schools across Australia, the UK & Ireland. Our programs aim to encourage a love of and curiosity in science amongst students and show them how science plays an important role in the world outside the classroom. Our travelling presenters bring a real-to-life crime scene investigation to the schools, set up a series of forensic evidence experiments and lead the students through the case while they learn how chemistry, physics and biology can help to solve crimes.
As well as our incursions we also provide online teaching resources to help schools run their own experiments and make progress to objectives on the Australian National Curriculum. Our team is small but effective, with five agents in the office taking bookings and fielding question and our five enthusiastic presenters out on the road bringing the science fun to schools across all three countries. Our Forensic Science workshops bring classroom science to life and enhance the learning experience by allowing students to take on the role of the Forensic Scientist and solve real life crimes
